Scope and Contents

This series contains original unbound marriage records which consist of: (1) licenses (2) certifications of marriage (4) consent from parent or guardian forms (5) waivers of parent's or guardian's consent. Ordinarily, the information on the licenses includes the: (1) name of groom (2) name of bride (3) date license was issued (4) date of marriage (5) name of Ordinary, and (6) name of person performing the wedding ceremony.

Scope and Contents Records submitted to the Crawford County Inferior and Ordinary Courts for recording in the county's official record books. Most are estate records and include wills, annual returns, inventories and appraisements, appraisers' oaths, administrators and guardians bonds, letters of dismission of administrators and guardians, sale bills and receipts to and from executors, hearings for widows' years support.
