It is the responsibility of this Division to estimate revenues and expenses, provide financial analysis of proposed decisions, and provide for budgeting procedures for use by MARTA. Included in this series are: budget preparation materials, correspondence, memoranda, budget reports, organization charts, work progress reports and financial plans.

These alphabetical subject files of the General Manager of the Finance and Administration Department deal primarily with insurance and other financial matters and with relations between MARTA and federal and transporation agencies and organizations.

The General Manager supervises the administration of the authority and consequently, these subject files document the day-to-day operations of MARTA. Subjects dealt with include (not inclusive): (1) various labor and personnel matters, (2) reports to and from federal agencies connected with the mass transit field, (3) public relations, (4) proposed bus routes, (5) planning, environmental impact and engineering studies, (6) fiscal matters, and (7) consultant firm matters.
