This series consists of correspondence and biographical material relating to the members of the Advisory Council. Once a part of the Department of Education, the Council is now an autonomous body as required by the Congress of the United States. The files in this particular series were actually created when the Council was still a part of the Department of Education.

Scope and Contents This series contains summary minutes of all meetings of the Council itself and its Executive Committee and supporting papers. These files document the activities of these bodies and the establishment of policies and procedures at the various meetings.
