An 1863 letter from Sallie Marsh in Cartersville, Bartow County (Cass County), Georgia, to her brother, Cadet C. H. Marsh, who was enrolled in the Georgia Military Institute. Two letters (1898 and 1905) from Dr. J. S. Todd and Robert Rodgers of Atlanta to Carrie Marsh (Mrs. B. R.) Padgett, another Marsh sister, concern data and memories of the long dead cadet.

A collection of family correspondence from Walker and Washington Counties, Georgia, with additional letters from a merchant's wife in Alabama and Carrollton, Georgia; a schoolboy in Kirkwood, Georgia; schoolgirls at Shorter College in Rome, Georgia; and businessmen in Atlanta. In addition, there are Walker County, Georgia, deeds, legal records, and other papers connected with the Warthen, Marsh, Allgood, Sparks, and Wicker families.

Dates: 1836 - 1997; Majority of material found in 1863 - 1946
