This series contains: (1) correspondence, (2) plats, (3) maps, (4) family research reports, (5) genealogies, (6) court records, (7) interview notes, (8) obituaries, (9) death certificates, (10) biographical questionnaires, (11) copies of newspaper clippings, and (12) public relations records all constituting the working files of staff researchers The material was used to make decisions regarding historic sites, document the history of the sites, restore the sites to their original states and for the publication of research reports. Some of the published reports are included and there are also research note cards and stenographic notebooks.
