Scope and Contents
This series consists of the minutes of the monthly meetings of the State Personnel Board. Included with the earlier minutes is an agenda for each meeting of the Board. Selected by the Governor, with consent from the Senate, the State Board consists of three members who are appointed for seven year terms. The Board, through established rules and regulations, governs all phases of personnel administration including such functions as recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers, demotions, separations, job classification, salary and wage administration, leave of absence, training, prohibition of political activity, employee appeals, and many others. The Board, through its Merit System Director, also administers the Employees' Health Insurance Program.
