Scope and Contents This series contains a copy of the royal charter incorporating the trustees for establishing the Colony of Georgia originally promulgated in Westminster, England on June 9, 1732. This particular copy was made from General Oglethorpe's working copy which he carried with him to America by the Secretary of the Province of South Carolina and was recorded in South Carolina Miscellaneous Records Book DD on February 22, 1734.
