Scope and Contents

This series consists of annual reports of the Department of Mines, Mining and Geology. These published reports present in concise but comprehensive form the varieties of work undertaken by the Department, particularly emphasizing the programs of investigation and research in mineral resources and the accomplishments of the Department during each year. There are also reviews of work done in cooperation with other agencies.

Scope and Contents This series is composed of several distinct subseries of records relating to several different administrations of the Dept. of Mines, Mining and Geology, including those of: W.S. This series consists of: (1) miscellaneous reports, (2) information circulars, (3) surveys, (4) handbooks, and (5) publications lists in both hardcover and paperbound volumes. Most of the reports give a review of activities of the Department in conjunction with federal and other state agencies and reveal information and studies of geological resources and conditions throughout the state.

This series consists of quarterly reports of the State Geologist and Assistant State Geologist as given to the Governor and the Advisory Board of the Geological Survey of Georgia. These narratives vary in form and content and cover the years 1909 - 1936.
