This series consists of published monographs on specific geological subjects in Georgia. There are both hard and soft bound volumes and some volumes contain loose maps. The bulletins contain reports of surveys on geological resources and conditions of the state and each volume covers a specific resource or condition on a local or statewide basis. This series is related to RGSGSERIES 50-2-17, Drafts of Bulletins.

The Georgia Mineral Newsletter is a quarterly periodical containing articles on Georgia geological conditions. These are illustrated and supplemented by maps. The newsletters' primary function is to provide the public with information on Georgia's geological conditions. More detailed information of this kind can be found in RGSGSERIES 50-2-23, Annual Reports of the Department of Mines, Mining and Geology.

This series consists of statements of production and value of Georgia minerals and lists producers of various minerals. The statements are loose papers, tables and charts. The production statements include: (1) names of companies, (2) amount of minerals produced in ton and value, (3) ad­dresses of the various producers, and (4) tabulations of the U.S. Bureau of Mines.

This series consists of registers of chemical analyses and assays of minerals and water conducted by the Geological Survey of Georgia. Entries include information about property owners, locations, and summaries of the analyses. Early entries also include method of analysis.

This series consists of: (1) bound and unbound manuscripts, (2) maps of geological areas or deposits, (3) sketches and drawings illustrating geological resources or conditions, and (4) texts of studies of specific geological resources or conditions on a local or statewide basis. Also included is a manuscript that gives the geological history of the state.

This series consists of paperbound scrapbooks which contain newspaper articles dealing with the Department's activities and geological phenomena in Georgia. The clippings were collected by the Department's staff from newspapers of numerous Georgia cities and towns as well as from outside the state.

Scope and Contents This series contains approximately 4,000 photographs and photograph negative albums taken primarily by S.W. McCallie and R.W. Smith, Georgia State Geologists, and other staff members of the Department of Mines, Mining and Geology apparently in connection with official field trips.
