This series contains reports of the annual examination of departmental accounts conducted by the state auditor. Information is provided in four categories: (1) receipts and disbursements; (2) analysis of personal services, which indicate employees' names, job titles, salaries, and individual expenses; (3) analysis of travel expenses by individual, and (4) reconciliation of bank accounts.
Mines, Mining and Geology - Fiscal Records - Expenditure Ledgers
This is a series containing expenditure ledgers for the department. Some of the bound volumes list the expenditures incurred in organizing and setting up a Georgia exhibit for the St. Louis Exposition of 1904. They also detail expenses for moving the exhibits to the Jamestown Exposition. Other volumes list expenses incurred by field geologists. Each of the ledgers indicates the date the payment was made, the person paid, the services rendered and the amount paid.
