This series consists of annual statistical reports of the Air Quality Evaluation Section, relating to monitoring ambient air for the State of Georgia. A unit of the Environmental Protection Division of the Department of Natural Resources, the Section is responsible for preservation, protection, and improvement of air quality and to conduct a statewide monitoring program in order to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. The annual statistical reports are composed of computer printouts documenting the observations of the ambient air monitoring sites throughout the state. Included are summaries of air quality data containing the following information: 1) the ranking of averages for all monitoring sites 2) the ranking of geometric means for all monitoring sites and 3) sampling site summaries. The following information is given in the sampling site summaries: 1) arithmetic mean for measured pollutants 2) geometric mean for measured pollutants 3) standard deviation for measured pollutants 4) geometric standard deviation of 24-hour averages 5) total number of observations 6) number of observations exceeding 24-hour standard 7) minimum 24-hour reading 8) maximum 24-hour reading 9) secondary 24-hour maximum and 10) frequency analyses.
