This series consists of bound copies of specifications and contracts, bidding documents and project manuals covering the construction or modification of or improvements to water supply systems throughout Georgia. The 8 1/2" X 11" bound volumes contain construction plans, specifications and related technical data concerning the water treatment facilities listed. Water treatment filter plants are complex and permanent installations representing large expenditures of public funds. The records of this series document the construction plans of filter system plants now in operation and are essential to remedy emergency problems or other disruptions in a filter system which might affect the well-being of an entire community. This series cross-references to 88-6-25, Water Supply Feasibility Report Files, which contains original documents recommending the implementation of these water supply systems (Series 27).
