Scope and Contents

This series contains documents relating to continuous study and analysis of intergovernmental issues in Georgia including monitoring germane federal legislation and providing in- epth analyses of same, executing special projects for the Governor, administering and coordinating federal grant programs, monitoring project progress, working with regional and federal staffs to coordinate, review and establish policy guidelines, operating the A-95 state clearing house for review of preliminary applications for federal assistance by coordinating eligibility review of proposals, receiving notices of grant funds awarded in Georgia and publishing a weekly report of both the applications and notices of funding received. The documents include correspondence and memorandums between Division personnel and the Governor, area planning and development commissions, state, local and federal officials and various planning councils and associations. Also included are policies and procedures including protocol papers and correspondence with foreign nations, reports, studies, translations and working papers prepared by the Division staff and agendas, minutes and supporting papers of, among others, the Interagency Council, the Council of State Governments and the Federal - State Coordinators Conference.
