This series is composed of the school newspapers of the Youth Development Center, Milledgeville, Georgia. From November, 1964, when the first edition was published, until April, 1968, the title was The Criterion. Beginning February, 1970, the paper was published as the Boys' Herald. Most of the articles were written by the boys within the center. These articles include news of the cottages, sporting events and awards for scholastic and athletic achievements. Other articles are written by the staff and concern professional achievements, conferences and recognitions.
