 Series
Identifier: 096-03-004

Scope and Contents

This series contains grant applications, application review comments, grant awards, acceptance by sub-grantee forms, reimbursement requests, check copies, progress reports, correspondence and other supporting papers. These records document the extensive relationship between the various law enforcement agencies in Georgia and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (LEAA) of the Federal Government which was established to distribute funds to aid localities fight crime. As is true with all similar grant files, much of the paper work is generated because of the Federal Government’s insistence that all guidelines are met by agencies receiving federal funds.
