Scope and Contents
The subject files of the Director of Physical Health consist of correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other papers. The papers relate to the overall administration of the Division and include documents such as: (1) correspondence and memoranda between the Director and heads of the organizational units of the Division, (2) reports on the progress, status, or results of programs performed by the organizational units, (3) correspondence and reports with national professional medical societies and associations, and (4) program and project narratives which explain the operations and results of physical health programs. The records also relate to the Director's and the Division's activities, (1) with all aspects of the physical health of Georgia citizens, (2) in local and national professional societies in the fields of public health and medical services, (3) as liaison with the federal government in the development of laws and programs and, (4) with other state agencies in the administration of general governmental functions.
