Scope and Contents
This series contains six small wooden display cases containing models of the human reproductive system which were apparently used in training sessions conducted in the Maternal Health Section. These models depict: (1) the structure of the human spermatozoon and ovary (2) five stages in the fertilization of the ovum (3) two stages in the development of the human embryo (4) four stages in the development of the human embryo (5) the 7 mm. embryo (about 6 weeks) (6) two views of the placenta, one showing the cord and a cross section. Each case is numbered in the order listed above and each is clearly identified and labelled.
