Scope and Contents

Execution dockets document the recorded civil complaints filed in the court involving financial matters and the judgments resulting from such complaints. Information presented in these volumes includes the: (1) name of attorneys, (2) case number (rarely assigned), (3) names of litigants, (4) an enumeration of the capital, interest, attorney's fees, Clerk's costs and Sheriff's costs, (5) the name of the person to whom the fi fa was issued to for the collection of the debt (usually given to plaintiff's attorney or held in office), (6) remarks, and (7) date and term of court. Often a statement would be written across the face of the recorded complaint that the fi fa had been paid or cancelled.
