The Act of October 17, 1879 authorized the various Judges of the Superior Courts to appoint Jury Commissioners for the counties in their respective circuits. The commissioners' major duty would be to revise the jury list every two years from the books of the Tax Receiver for the purpose of choosing a Traverse Jury and a Grand Jury. This series is composed of bound volumes which documents the names of the Traverse and Grand Jurors of Bulloch County for the period listed. These volumes contain information which includes: (1) name of each Traverse and Grand Juror, the name or number of the Georgia Militia District the Traverse Juror was selected from and the date of the selection, and (2) the names of the Jury Commissioners.
