This series consists of (1) policies and directives to District Health Departments, (2) Nurse Practice Act regulations, (3) Georgia Board of Nursing (RN) rules and regulations, (4) Georgia Board of Examiners (LPN) rules and regulations, (5) Professional Nursing Committee and Association proposals and directives, (6) statements of agreement with colleges and universities to sponsor nursing training workshops, (7) training materials and instructions, and (8) related correspondence. These documents all relate to administering and coordinating the Nurses Services program statewide. It is the duty of the Office of Nursing Services to provide professional leadership and coordination of nursing services; to maximize utilization of nursing skills in health care delivery, including preventive services; and to provide training to augment nursing skills to meet the needs of all citizens in all areas of the State.
