Scope and Contents

Criminal dockets are used by the Superior and Justice Courts to document criminal charges filed in the Justice Court by the state and the judgment resulting from such charges. The information provided in the later (but not earlier) dated volumes includes (1) name or Georgia Militia District number of court, (2) name of defendant, (3) name of person issuing warrant, date of issue, offense charged, name of prosecutor and date set for trial, (4) judgment rendered and, (5) justice's and constable's cost.
