Scope and Contents
This series contains news releases, correspondence, memorandums of the Director, the unit directors and the staff and reference and office management material. These records document the many and varied activities of the new division of the Department of Human Resources established to administer the ever increasing number of federal programs. As would be expected in such files, special emphasis was placed on fiscal records, personnel and budget data. For similar records dated prior to the Georgia government reorganization of 1972, see RGSGSERIES 24-1-31, General Administrative Records of the Director of Family and Children Services.
