These subject files contain the correspondence between the division director and other state and federal officials, private organizations, businesses and individuals concerning all phases of planning and promotion of vacation and recreational travel in Georgia. Also included are feasibility studies conducted on promotional projects, reports, proposals, documentation of programs and completed and proposed legislation concerning tourist industry promotion. One interesting phase of the Division's work well documented here is the operation of the welcome centers located at key highway entrances to the State and at the Atlanta Airport. Particularly well represented in this series is documentation on the multitude of speeches delivered every year by the Division Director and other Division personnel.
