This series contains preliminary or rough drafts of proposed amendments to or the full Constitution submitted by the various sub-committees into which the 1964 Commission divided itself. This collection includes those drafts that were, for one reason or another, rejected by the membership. Although the various drafts are typed, there are many hand-written notes on several pages which vividly document one phase of the Constitutional revision process. Several of the drafts indicated in the shelf list below were named for the author or the committee chairman who apparently super­vised their compilation. These identified copies are filed separately from those which are of anonymous origin and from the preliminary drafts of the entire Constitution.
