Constitutional Revision Commission - 1964 Commission - Minutes
Scope and Contents
These minutes of the organizational meeting and regular, working meetings of the 1964 Constitutional Revision Commission are of the transcript variety and, as such, are similar to the minutes of other constitutional revision commissions (see RGSGSERIES 38-1-1). The agendas of the meetings included taking the existing Constitution at the time and studying it article by article to ascertain what, if any, revision was needed. It is interesting to note that the regular Commission members were joined in their deliberations by a joint committee of the General Assembly which also was charged with revising the Constitution and apparently, though always listed separately on the attendance rolls, was considered an integral part of the Commission.
