This series contains copies of several Georgia House and Senate resolu­tions which created the 1969 Constitution Revision Commission or implemented phases of the proposed Constitution composed by that body. House Resolution Three proposed the new Constitution and presented it to the people for ratification or rejection in the 1970 general election. It further fixed an effective date in the event the Constitution was ratified. Among the versions of this resolution are the interim copy, the Judiciary Committee substitute and a compilation of changes to the substitute specifi­cally dealing with the section covering the findings and recommendations of the Constitution Revision Commission. House Resolution 129-341 proposed virtually the same ideas as did HR 3 using almost identical wording. House Resolution 514-1028 also contained the same provisions as its two predecessors. Contained herein are the drafts of the resolution as it passed the House of Representatives and a large collection of amendments thereto. Senate Resolution Ten created the 1969 Constitution Revision Commission and outlined the reasons for its creation and its duties.
