Scope and Contents
This series consists of routine local, state, national and international correspondence of the State Geologist. Included in some instances are: (1) enclosures such as photographs, (2) blueprints, (3) maps, (4) circulars, (5) requests, (6) laboratory reports, (7) job applications, and (8) other papers. The correspondence covers almost all areas of operations of the State Geologist's office. The earlier portion of the series is primarily incoming correspondence; the latter portion of the series includes both incoming and outgoing correspondence. Other outgoing correspondence can be found in the State Geologist's Letterbooks, RGSGSERIES 50-1-25, and other correspondence can be found in the Miscellaneous Correspondence RGSGSERIES 50-1-19.
