Scope and Contents
This series is composed of some bound letterbook copies of outgoing correspondence of the State Geologist. The letters relate to the routine work of the office of the State Geologist, replying to requests for reports, bulletins, and mineral analyses, and concerning the general supervision of the office. Part of the series consists of letters written by W.S. Yeates as Executive Commissioner for Georgia, Jamestown Exhibition, the first part of which is included in the general letterbook of the State Geologist and continued in a separate volume included in this series. Letters in this series are in many instances replies to letters in the series Correspondence of the State Geologist.
