Scope and Contents
This series consists of two volumes containing the unofficial record of the proceedings of the Common Council of the Trustees for Establishing the Colony of Georgia. The journals reflect the activities of the Common Council including the expenditure of money, appointing of officers to manage the affairs of the corporation and officers to promote the welfare of the colony, granting land to inhabitants of the Colony of Georgia, and regulating trade with neighboring colonies and the Indians. The journals also record reports sent from the colony and abstracts of accounts applied in England and accounts applied in Georgia.
