Scope and Contents
This series contains: (1) correspondence, (2) applications, (3) cost documentation (4) evaluations, (5) contracts, (6) land acquisition documents, and (7) inspection reports and other records which are contained in recreation grant project files. These particular files document the requesting, administering and authorizing of state and federal funds to individual subgrantees under several programs including Recreation Emergency Fund, Recreation and Parr Assistance Fund, Special Olympics, Georgia Heritage Trust, Developmental Disabilities Services Act and other special appropriations. The grant funds administered are allocated for such things as the acquisition, development and operation of recreation sites, facilities and services and for the employment of young people on public lands in conservation activities.
