These records are the annual reports to the Board of Regents from the presidents of the individual colleges and universities within the University System of Georgia. In recent years the reports from the University of Georgia were expanded to include reports from the various division heads as well. These reports, presented in both narrative and statistical form, contain information on the major educational aspects of each institution or division. The reports follow a general format including: 1. Faculty and Staff - additions; replacements; retirements; leaves granted; advanced graduate work and degrees received; research and publications; teacher work loads; evaluation of work of teaching staff 2. Students - enrollment; morale; financial aids; employment opportunities; extracurricular activities; conduct 3. Curricula Changes - course additions and deletions; additions of new academic majors and minors 4. Library - statistics on new additions; gifts; audio visual materials; circulation; lists of library expenditures by department 5. Public Services - primary concern with the colleges' relationship to the local communities; some emphasis on state wide and national activities such as conferences, conventions, etc. 6. Major Repairs and Alterations 7. Gifts and Loans - scholarships, grants in aid, awards, prizes, etc. 8. Programs and Needs - better qualified teachers and staff; salary increases; improved physical facilities; changes in class sizes.
