This series consists of copies of Board agendas and minutes of meetings, working papers used in formulating recommendations and final recommendations to the Board. Also included may be correspondence and memos to and from the Board members and other departmental personnel related to program recommendations and activities. These documents relate to requests and recommendations from the Office of Instructional Services for approval by the State Board of Education. Such requests include those for: (1) Legal services in support of educational television, (2) Changes in special education regulations and procedures, (3) Continuation of agreement for operation of an educational program for the handicapped at Central State Hospital, (4) Procedural guidelines for reporting of neglected and abused children, (5) Application submission to secure a grant from the U.S. Office of Education for continued support of art education in the State of Georgia, (6) Related topics
