This series contains: (1) County Supervisors' reports; (2) field notes, charts, maps, and tables; (3) correspondence of the County Supervisors, for the following counties included in the Minerals Survey: Bartow, Bibb, Chatham, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dade, Floyd, Fulton, Gilmer, Glynn, Gordon, Habersham, Hall, Haralson, Lincoln, Lumpkin, Monroe, Murray, Paulding, Polk, Rabun, Richmond, Telfair, Troup and Ware.

For all other counties, except Brantley and Evans, mineral and water resource summaries are provided. Included in the folders for the counties in which survey teams worked are detailed reports regarding the location, type, and extent of mineral deposits. For some of these counties, specifically, Bryan, Camden, Chatham, and McIntosh, water table surveys are also provided. The majority of the records in this series are loose carbon copies of reports and correspondence, but some originals of correspondence are included.
