This series contains: (1) correspondence, project reviews, audio tapes of board and council meetings and other records pertaining to health plan development and implementation often involving medical practitioners, consumers, voluntary organizations and state and private representatives; (2) project review papers for all public health service projects requiring federal funds, including (a) migrant health, (b) health services development, (c) family planning, (d) health maintenance organizations and (e) sickle cell anemia; review papers for all applications under the Community Mental Health Centers Act, the Drug Abuse and Treatment Act, alcoholism and alcohol abuse, narcotic addiction, drug abuse and drug dependence and the Social Security Act; (3) position papers on health policy involvement including policy recommendations and papers supporting legislation in cooperation with the Office of State and Local Affairs; (4) area wide development and assistance consultation and information papers including assistance in applying for federal grants; (5) statistical data useful in health planning activities; (6) studies of population health needs or effectiveness of health system components and others used to develop the State's comprehensive health plan.
