Education - Office of Instructional Programs - Coastal Plains Planning Commisson Fund Application
Scope and Contents
This series consists of bound project applications for vocational education facilities showing (1) existing facilities in the area, (2) intent of proposed facility, (3) need, (4) economic impact to surrounding area, (5) cost of proposed facility, (6) relationship to State plans, (7) application for intent to apply for federal assistance forms, (8) persons to be served by the new facility, (9) operational date, (10) blueprints, (11) correspondence, (12) A-95 information, (13) service area information and (14) supporting documentation and attachments. These documents relate not only to applications for funds to build entirely new vocational education facilities, but applications for funds to expand the facilities of existing vocational education schools and additions of vocational education departments to non-vocational education school buildings. Because of the tremendous surge in vocational education training needs, facility building and expansion is on the increase. Funds for these facilities are obtained from federal, state and the regional commission and are usually, though not always, matched. The applications are normally made through the county Board of Education. For research into facility application requests made in other regional commissions, please see the corresponding series of this sub group.
