University System - State College of Agriculture - Bulletins
Scope and Contents
The Act of July 21, 1906 appropriated one hundred thousand dollars for the purpose of establishing the State College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts, later changed to the Georgia State College of Agriculture, at the University of Georgia at Athens. The Act of August 28, 1931 titled "The State Government Reorganization Act" abolished the school and merged it into the University of Georgia as the the College of Agriculture. Among its other duties the college prepares and publishes bulletins and circulars which feature short articles relating to the improvement of the production, distribution and preservation of agricultural products. See Record Group 33-2-171 for later bulletins prepared by the staff of the College of Agriculture of the University of Georgia after the merger. Also see Record Group 33-3-172 for a companion series of circulars also published by the Georgia State College of Agriculture.
