This series contains the summary minutes, exhibits and related correspondence related to the meetings of the Georgia Forest Research Council and two of its committees, the Kaolin Strip Mining Reclamation Research Committee and the Technical Advisory Committee. Included in the minutes are such items as decisions on specific research projects, special recognition of the services of council members, council budgets, lists of members and terms of each, appropriations recommendations, equipment purchases, discussions of the merits of candidates for various positions on the council, and various relations with the Herty Foundation. The correspondence and exhibits include such things as copies of legislation, resolutions of appreciation for the work of the council, contracts and leases, contractural research and other budget breakdowns and lists of future and current projects.
