Agriculture - Entomology - Bulletins, Circulars, and Press Bulletins
Scope and Contents
An act of December 21, 1897 required the State Entomologist to collect, compile, compose and distribute information concerning horticulture and pomology for the fruit and vegetable growers of Georgia. The publications in this series are a direct result of this act. The contents of these volumes are the result of research activities conducted by the Department of Agriculture over the years, although some few bulletins recount the proceedings of meetings of closely related organizations. All three types of publications in this series contain narrative reports or information and most also contain illustrations and statistical tables as well.

Arrangement Note
In designating the publications in the three basic categories listed below, some problems were encountered. Most of the bulletins were labeled and numbered. For those few which were not, the length of the publications was the rule of thumb applied. All items designated as bulletins numbered over four pages in length. Anything of fewer pages was termed a circular. Only items so labeled were listed as press bulletins. Each category is arranged chronologically by publication date and by item number. In the rare cases where the two sequences are not parallel, the item number takes precedence. Undated and unnumbered items are placed at the end of a sequence. Be sure to check the list below carefully, because not all numbers are present.
