These published reports are designed to inform the Governor of the activities of the Department of Veterans Service in compliance with Section 78-411 of the Georgia Code. Though the contents vary somewhat from year to year, a representative issue might contain the following subjects: veterans service board; financial report; monetary benefits and definitions of same; statistical report and definition of same; information program; director's activities; state approving agency; service officers' school; regional conferences; one-stop counseling; Georgia veterans nursing home; Georgia war veterans home; special services unit; field office directory; and exhibits. An average report contains about 40 pages and most include a table of contents.
