Labor - Employment Security - Bulletins
Scope and Contents
This series contains bulletins or manual parts, bound and unbound, published by the Employment Security Agency of the Georgia Department of Labor. Some of the specific subjects covered are (1) inter area placement, (2) employment of women, minors, and child care, (3) publicity - including classified advertising, (4) confidential character of information and records, (5) relations with unions and other agencies, (6) selective placement and employment counseling, and (7) employer relations, registration, recruitment and referral. These bulletins, which make up the manual parts, cover the policies and procedures of the Agency as directed by the policy makers of the Agency before becoming superseded by the - Administrative Procedures Manual. There is also a bulletin control index that shows each bulletin by number, its source, which bulletin it supersedes, which bulletin cancelled it (if any), which Section originated it and the subject it covers. Also included in this series are bulletins that were inactive and without authority when the bulletin system was superseded by the Administrative Procedures Manual in 1975. The bulletins are arranged by subject or function area and then by bulletin number. See also Series 10, Record Group 16 for the Federal Employment Security Manual (Manual Transmittal Letters).
