Scope and Contents

This volume contains a record of appropriations, budgets, and expenditures broken down variously by category of expense and time period. Data covers both the administrative expenses of the Commission, and those of the individual committees concerned with the various projects and studies. There are five divisions: (1) FY 1963 - 1964 Budget of the Commission, broken down by month, type of expense and project (2) Detail ledger 1963 - 1967, containing monthly listing of each check, payee, amount and type of expense (3) Summary ledger, 1963 - 1967, showing fiscal year expenditures detailed by month and type of expense (4) Project costs; 1963 - 1965 containing date, payee, amount of payment, and type of expense of the specific committees (5) Commission expenditures ending June 30, 1963, a monthly summary of expense by category; also daily log of payee, amount paid and type of expense. These accounts summarize the information found in the requests for payments of budget allocations of the Commission files (see RGSGSERIES 1 - 17 - 158, Requests for Payment of Budget Allotment).
