Scope and Contents

This series consists of one special edition of a publication in magazine form. It is subtitled "A Bicentennial Project of the Middle Georgia College Alumni Society." Most of the material is recollections of the students of the class of 1926. In 1926 the school was the "Twelfth District Agricultural and Mechanical School." Included in the publication are descriptions of the campus - past and present, descriptions of the students attending in 1926, character sketches of the trustees, principal and teachers, details of the curriculum, pranks of the class, explanations of dorm life, commuting, clothing, social life on and off campus, sporting events and the biggest event of the year - the fire that burned the main building to the ground. The magazine was compiled by Amelia Anne Alderman and published in the summer of 1977.
