Scope and Contents
This series consists of the working papers of the Research Section of the Executive Staff Division of the Governor's Office. Because of its responsibility to respond to requests for specific information by officials of the Executive Department, the Research Section maintained these files. The documents come from a variety of sources with input from: 1) governmental agencies of the state, county and federal levels; 2) the legislature; 3) citizens, including professional associations; 4) the media, particularly the press, and 5) published reference material. The files are composed of: 1) memoranda; 2) correspondence, including telegrams; 3) reports; 4) briefs; 5) agenda; 6) statistics and reports; 7) computer printouts; 8) periodical material; 9) newspaper clippings and press releases; 10) legislative bills; 11) conference papers; 12) committee testimony; 13) handwritten notes, and 14) related papers. Not all administrations are represented.
