Scope and Contents
This series contains closed utility case files which were presented before the Public Service Commission and reviewed by the Consumer's Utility Counsel. Included are letters of transmittal, memorandums outlining proposed changes in a utility's service, memorandums from the Public Service Commission outlining procedures for appealing amendments in rules, copies of excerpts from public hearing testimony for or against proposals and recommendations (sometimes in longhand) from the Counsel. Among the types of cases reviewed are rate adjustments, amendments to rules governing such things as the cutting off of customer service and new service packages offered to customers. Also included are cases involving specific individuals in disputes with utility companies.
