This series contains the summary-style minutes of the meetings of the Management Advisory Council, the decision making body for the Outdoor Therapeutic Program Task Force. Made up of members from several divisions of the Department of Natural Resources and the departments of Human Resources and Education as well, all names of attendees for each meeting are included. The council might deliberate and render decisions on: (1) budgetary matters (2) therapeutic camping including such specifics as: (a) food and insurance for short-term camping trips (b) transportation for short-term groups (c) cutting the number of groups (d) cutting the size of the residential groups (e) determining the numbers of groups in both categories (3) making the program known to legislators in order to gain their support (4) more participation by Education (5) monthly reports (6) transfer of supervision and loss of personnel (7) the Appalachian Regional Commission grant (8) fee collections (9) medical insurance coverage (10) membership on the screening committee (11) shelters and fire safety (12) announcements of time and place of the next meeting. The minutes rarely number more than two pages in length. Also included in the files are such supporting papers as blank forms such as those used to screen applicants and to list unfortunate incidents occurring on camping trips, and monthly schedules of program activities and forms with incidents recorded.
