Scope and Contents

This series consists of the subject files of the Office of Intergovernmental Relations, a part of the General Manager's Office. This office is responsible for maintaining the interface between the Authority and elected officials at state, local and federal levels. Included are correspondence, memoranda, government meeting schedules, work assignments, and reports to government bodies. Also included are records relating to the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Overview Committee (MARTOC), a committee of State General Assembly members selected to evaluate the performance of the Authority along legally established guidelines.
