Scope and Contents
This series contains unbound returns of the Court of Ordinary relating to the proceessioning of land districts in Walton County. the Act of 1799 gave every owner of land, regardless of district, the right to have the lines around his entire tract resurveyed and marked anew simply by applying to the processioners of said district to appoint a day a majority of them, with the county surveyor, could trace and mark the said lines. The records within this series, filed with the Court of Ordinary who handled such functions, show the original resurveying along with the certification by the Ordinary that the land was truly surveyed and the Lines remarked.
