The first volume, 1755-1771, contains appointments of executors to administer an estate and instructions for the inventory and appraisal of that estate. The second volume, 1771-1775, contains records of appointments and instructions by the governor as well as citations for individuals to appear before the governor, such as creditors seeking payment from an estate.
