This series consists of the "information record" created in the writing of checks of the Treasurer. Each stub contains the date, the warrant number (which is not consistently included), the payee or purpose of the check and the amount. The check book is dilapidated, but the stubs are in good physical condition and legible.

This series consists of various unbound papers too minuscule in number to include in new and separate series.

This series consists of plat books. A plat is a subdivision of land into lots and landmarks, streets and alleys, marked upon the earth, and represented on paper.

This series contains original unbound papers which formed portions of Civil and criminal case files involving: (1) distress warrants, (2) promissory notes, (3) summonses, (4) accusations, and (5) indictments.

Promissory notes and court cases, from Wilkes County, Georgia and Richmond County, Georgia. Records involve the Alexander, Anthony, Butler, Dearing, Dooly, Floyd, Hill, Seaman, Shackelford, Ward, Wiley, and Wingfield families.

This series consists of a bound ledger containing: (1) the parties in litigation, (2) amount of judgement plus interest, (3) court costs, and (4) date judgement was satisfied.

This series consists of a bound ledger, the last 4 pages of which contain lost or strayed livestock. The information consists of: (1) county and district, (2) type and size of animal, (3) branding marks appearing on body, (4) whom the animal was appraised by and for how much, (5) date of the court appearance, and (6) judge residing in the case.

This series includes records of minor civil cases brought before the court. Information found in this series includes: (1) names of litigants and verdicts; (2) discussion of county business (building roads and bridges, courthouse construction and repairs, appointment of commissioners, etc.), and (3) listings of jurors.

This series contains estate records submitted to the Wilkes County Court of Ordinary for recording as the official probate records of estates. Records may include: annual returns, inventories & appraisements, appraisals, guardian bonds, letters of administration, administrator's bonds, letters of guardianship, returns on sale of property, and wills. An asterisk next to a folder number in the inventory indicates a will in the file.

This series consists of a bound ledger containing: (1) the names of the attorneys' for parties in litigation, (2) case numbers, (3) parties in litigation, (4) types of cases, and (5) brief data on disposition of cases. The types of cases appealed were assumsits, ejectments, bills in equity and debts.

This series consists of ledgers containing: (1) the parties in litigation, (2) witnesses for the plaintiff and/or defendant, (3) substitutes (if any), and (4) date of the case.

This series consists of bound ledgers containing: (1) the names of the attorneys for parties in litigation, (2) case numbers, (3) parties in litigation, and (4) whether or not the case was satisfied.

This series consists of a bound ledger that contains: (1) the parties in litigation with the state, (2) the state's witnesses, (3) charges against the defendant, (4) the jurors' names after being sworn in, (5) the foreman's acknowledgement of the case being a true bill, (6) the pleading by the defendant, (7) the findings of the jury, and (8) the fine or punishment levied.

Minutes for 1778 to 1780 and those after 1787 have been microfilmed and are available in the microfilm library.

This series consists of bound ledgers containing: (1) case number (2) date of subpoena (3) person subpoenaed (4) for what parties they were subpoenaed (5) who delivered the subpoena and (6) number of days served. Among the cases tried were assaults, debts, assumpits and slander. The records are in general decay, uncleaned and in the same condition as they were taken from the courthouse (except 1852 - 1853 which has been laminated and bound).

Documents pertain to the granting of land east of Sapelo River to Clark by King George in 1757; the subsequent deeding of that land to James Nephew in 1799; and the further transfer of land, according to Nephew's will, involving Joseph and Caroline C. Nephew Stiles and Henry and Ann Atwood in 1834. Land located in McIntosh County.

Record of general merchandise sold by William L. Jett of Morgan County, Georgia. Entries include cites date, type of goods, and cost.

Correspondence from William G. Bulloch, recorder of the Army Medical Board, and other officials of the Confederate Army; also from A. S. Clay, candidate for the Georgia General Assembly, 1884.

Includes 1913 list of officers; 1913 and 1918 minutes; and 1913-1922 membership list recording members, ages, beneficiaries, and amounts paid for certificates and dues for Hancock County Camp No. 614.
