Vocational Rehabilitation - Warm Springs Foundation - Alice Lou Plastridge Correspondence
Miss Alice Lou Plastridge was the Director of Physical Therapy at the Warm Springs Foundation from the early 1930’s to the early 1940’s. This unit supervised the therapy provided the patients in an effort to strengthen their muscles through exercise and provided a referral service for outpatients.

Vocational Rehabilitation - Warm Springs Foundation - Dr. Edward D. Haak's Subject Files
This series contains correspondence, memorandums, schedules, cost comparison reports and other records created by the office of Dr. Edward D. Haak, a physician on the staff of the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Apparently Dr. Haak served in a capacity very similar to that of Dr. Hoke in an earlier period as the contents of the two files are very similar. Both professional duties and some personal business are documented in these files.
Vocational Rehabilitation - Warm Springs Foundation - Dr. James A. Johnson's Correspondence
This series contains the correspondence of Dr. James A. Johnson who served as a physician at the Warm Springs Foundation in the mid 1930's. The series is very brief, especially when compared to the volume of records generated by Dr. Irwin who was employed at the Foundation during this time period. (see Series 21) Dr. Johnson, by contrast, generated only two unlabeled file folders of correspondence. There is, of course, no arrangement.

Record of general merchandise sold, arranged chronologically, citing name of account, date, goods purchased, and cost, probably all in Franklin County, Georgia. A record of wholesale purchases from John McMullin of Augusta begins at the rear of the book. The name D. Dumas also appears, added at a later time. The book is partially indexed.

W. H. H. Walton Civil War letter
Description of a battle by Walton, who served in Company H of the 59th Regiment Georgia Volunteers, to his parents, October 7, 1862. This is perhaps the Battle of Corinth since that fight took place Oct. 3 - 4 and employed the breastworks mentioned in the letter. A typescript is also included.

This series contains a bound volume of the mayor's court docket of the City of Monroe. This volume contains in ledger form civil cases of persons violating town ordinances. Listed in the book are the parties in litigation with the town, the offense and the final judgement decreed by the mayor. The violated ordinance is listed only by its number so the severity of the violation cannot be ascertained.

This series contains original miscellaneous papers of the Justice of the Peace Court of Walton County. The papers are parts of civil and criminal case files including (1) Justice Court summonses, (2) garnishment bonds, (3) possessory and dispossessory warrants, (4) criminal warrants, (5) foreclosure mortgage Fi Fas and (6) oaths of office. This series has records that are also found in the Superior Court, Probate Court, State Court, County Commissioner's Office and Tax Collector's Office.

This series contains loose original administrator's bonds of the Probate Court of Walton County. These records show the people named to be administrator of a deceased person's estate and the oath and amount of money each was required to pay the court before administrating a probated will.

This series contains original correspondence of the Court of Ordinary of Walton County. Of questionable historical value, the majority of this fragmented correspondence, comprised of notes and letters, was written by constituents with various requests such as (1) dismissal as administrator of an estate, (2) dismissal as administrator of an estate, (3) various requests by attorneys in regard to their client's cases and (4) correspondence relating to pensions.

This series contains a bound cost or Fi Fa docket of civil cases of the Inferior court of Walton County. This volume contains in ledger form an accounting of the (1) court term, (2) attorneys for both plaintiff and defendant, (3) case number, (4) parties in litigation, (5) cost of the fine plus interest, (6) court costs, (7) date the Fi Fa was issued, (8) date Fi Fa was handed to the sheriff and (9) date and final disposition of Fi Fa.

This series contains a bound volume the second half of which contains lists grand jury revisions made by the Inferior Court of Walton County. The lists give the names of the grand jurors liable to sit in the jury box in the Inferior Court for each term. At the end of the lists is a paragraph certifying the foregoing list and signed by the judges of the Inferior Court.

This series contains unbound records the first half of which relates to individual paupers being helped by the Court of Ordinary of Walton County. The few specific documents include petitions to and orders from the Court giving aid to certain destitute individuals. The money for the aid came from the County Treasurer's Office.

This series contains a bound volume of a receipts and disbursements journal of the Inferior Court of Walton County. This volume contains in ledger form the amount of money received and paid out by the Inferior Court. Before 1868, the Inferior Court of the various counties had the job of county treasurer The amounts of money shown in this ledger, therefore, are actually monies received and paid out by the county for county purposes. In some cases the two amounts were balanced out.

The cases generally concern the (1) principal witness being unable to attend court (2) Fi Fas, (3) collection of past due accounts and (4) related topics.
